Vol. 1 (2019). E. Mantzourani and I. Voskos, Excavation at the Neolithic Settlement Kantou Kouphovounos in Cyprus. Part Β': The Moveable Finds Eleni Mantzourani and Ioannis Voskos
Abstract
The excavation at the site Kantou Kouphovounos is the first field project of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Cyprus. The project was conducted under the auspices of the university and the direction of the first editor of this publication. The excavation of the site started in 1992 and was completed in 1999. In 2009 the first part of the results of the excavations at the Ceramic Neolithic site of Kantou Kouphovounos was published in hard copy by the Department of Antiquities, Cyprus.
PART A' includes two Volumes (1-2) and comprises a detailed analysis of the site’s geology, stratigraphy and architecture followed by a discussion on architectural features and chronology.
The present two Volumes (1-2) form PART B' of the results, comprising the digital publication of the moveable finds unearthed in the excavation. Volume 1 consists of eight (8) chapters. Their text is accompanied by the catalogues of finds and the bibliography. A number of plates and charts has been added to each chapter. Volume 2 features the illustrations that accompany the text of the publication. A total of more than 2000 photos and drawings, mostly of individual moveable finds, were selected from the corpus of the excavation archive.
