THEOPHANY welcomes the submission of original scholarly work within the journal’s scope. Authors are encouraged to review the following requirements and consult the full guidelines before submitting a manuscript.

  • Language and file format: Manuscripts must be written in English and submitted as editable Microsoft Word files (.doc or .docx).
  • Main-text formatting: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, single spacing, and full justification. No maximum manuscript length is specified; the length should be appropriate to the subject, aims, and methodology of the study.
  • Title page: Include the article title; the names of all authors; their academic or professional positions; their institutional affiliations; and the contact details of the corresponding author. The author order must be consistent with the metadata entered in the online submission system.
  • Abstract and keywords: Provide a structured abstract of no more than 250 words, followed by up to five keywords.
  • Headings and paragraphs: Headings and subheadings must be numbered, bold, and left-aligned. The first paragraph following each heading or subheading begins flush with the left margin; the first line of each subsequent paragraph is indented by 0.5 cm.
  • Citations and references: Follow APA style, 7th edition. Reference-list entries must use a 0.75 cm hanging indent. Include a DOI only when one is available.
  • Research ethics and AI use: Authors must report applicable ethical approvals, any conflicts of interest, and sources of funding. Any use of generative AI tools must be disclosed in a footnote, in accordance with the full guidelines.
  • Submission and peer review: Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions that meet the basic requirements and fall within the journal’s scope are sent for peer review by independent experts with relevant subject-area expertise.
